Before I thought that the ideas about slaves and masters had a very clear link to who is a slave and who is a master in a certain society. Deleuze interpreted it mostly as a matter of charachter, which gave me a more useful and sympathetic understanding of Nietzsches's concepts, whether authentic or not.]]> The active/reactive dichotomy in “Nietzsche and Philosophy” helped me thinking of Nietzsche’s slave/master concepts in a less societal way.
